RSC Anderlecht had a particularly busy summer transfer window. With no fewer than eleven new players, the Mauves strengthened every area of the squad, bringing in both experienced players and promising young talents.

The summer transfer window for the Mauves got underway with the arrival of Giulian Biancone. The French centre-back brings experience from several leagues. RSCA subsequently strengthened its defence with one of Giulian’s compatriots, Léo Pétrot, as well as Moldovan defender Oleg Reabciuk. Both also bring international experience. At the end of the transfer window, Irishman Andrew Omobamidele joined the ranks. He arrives in Brussels on loan and provides an additional option in defence.

In midfield, Sporting added several different profiles. Young Czech midfielder Lukas Ambros brings his vision and creativity to the squad. Ivorian Romeo Amane, who joins from Rapid Vienna, is also a strong addition to Anderlecht’s midfield. Ilias Koutsoupias, the Greek midfielder arriving from Italian side Frosinone, was RSCA’s final signing and completes the midfield options.

RSCA also strengthened its attacking options. On the wings, Finnish winger Oliver Antman is expected to bring pace and quality in one-on-one situations. German winger Marten Winkler, who arrives from Berlin, provides another option out wide. Up front, Moroccan striker Tawfik Bentayeb was brought in with impressive statistics behind him, adding further competition in attack. Finally, Norwegian midfielder Thelo Aasgaard joins the club on loan, bringing an additional creative profile to the squad.
