RSC Anderlecht have strengthened their midfield with the signing of Lukas Ambros. The 22-year-old Czech and Under-21 international joins from Polish side Górnik Zabrze and has signed a contract until June 2030, with an option for an additional season.
With the arrival of Lukas Ambros, the Mauves add a technically gifted playmaker to the squad. The left-footed midfielder is renowned for his vision, creativity, and ability to unlock defences.
Lukas began his youth career in his native Czech Republic before being spotted by VfL Wolfsburg at the age of 16. He continued his development in Germany, progressing through Wolfsburg’s academy before making his first-team debut in February 2023. He later gained further experience during a loan spell at SC Freiburg.
In the summer of 2024, Ambros made the move to the Polish top flight with Górnik Zabrze. He quickly established himself as a key player, making 58 appearances and helping the club win the Polish Cup. His performances in the Polish Ekstraklasa, combined with his displays for the Czech Under-21 national team, attracted interest from several European clubs. Lukas has now chosen to continue his career with Belgium’s record champions, where he will wear the number 18 shirt.
