Royal Sporting Club Anderlecht is a household name in Belgian and European football. “Anderlecht”, the footballing institution from the capital, and the most beautiful word in the dictionary, according to Jan Mulder. The club’s official baseline is “Noblesse Oblige”, the obligation to act according to your heritage and talent. To be not only the best, but also the greatest.

CHAMPIONS

With 34 titles, RSC Anderlecht is the club with the most championships in Belgium. This places it among a select group of European top clubs with three stars above their crest.

BELGIAN CUP WINNERS

The Mauves have lifted the Belgian Cup nine times as winners in the final at the Heysel.

SUPERCUP

RSCA has also won the Supercup, the game between the cup winner and the previous season’s champion,  thirteen times. The most recent Supercup dates from 2017.

UEFA CUP

Sporting’s first European trophy arrived in 1976, after a legendary final against England’s West Ham. Two seasons later, they claimed another Cup Winners’ Cup (also known as the Europacup II), after defeating Austria Wien.

In the Super Cup lounge of the Lotto Park, you can still find the trophy which gave it its name. Sporting won the European Super Cup twice. The first, in 1976, came after a victory against Bayern Munich. In 1978, RSCA defeated Liverpool.

UEFA SUPERCUP

In 1983, RSCA won the two-legged final against Portuguese side Benfica. Sporting won the home match in Brussels 1–0, and drew the return leg in Portugal two weeks later.

RSCA Women

RSCA Women are a powerhouse in Belgian women’s football. The roots of the Sporting’s women’s team go back to 1971, when Vlug op Wemmel was founded. After several name changes, Wemmel Dames 71, Brussels Dames 71, and Brussels D71, the club eventually became part of RSC Anderlecht. With eleven cups and eleven league titles, the last seven of which were won consecutively, RSCA Women are the undisputed dominant force in the Belgian league.

RSCA Futsal

RSCA also dominates Belgian futsal, the spectacular indoor sport that gains popularity year after year. The former FP Halle-Gooik, located just a stone’s throw from the Brussels Ring, has competed as a part of RSC Anderlecht since 2022. With consistent participation in the UEFA Champions League, RSCA Futsal also ranks among the world’s elite indoor teams.
