RSC Anderlecht has added further firepower to its attack. 24-year-old Moroccan striker Tawfik Bentayeb joins the club from Union Touarga Sportif and has signed a four-year contract.
A centre-forward, Bentayeb developed at the Mohammed VI Football Academy in Morocco before making the move to Union Touarga Sportif. Following a successful loan spell at Rodez, he confirmed his potential last season with French side ESTAC Troyes, where he played a key role in their promotion to Ligue 1, scoring 20 goals in 31 appearances.
Bentayeb has also made his mark at international level. The Moroccan international made his senior national team debut in May this year and immediately celebrated the occasion with a goal and two assists. He also represented Morocco at almost every youth level.
Welcome to RSC Anderlecht, Tawfik.
