Thelo Aasgaard strengthens RSC Anderlecht’s midfield. The Norwegian attacking midfielder joins on loan from Rangers FC until the end of the season. RSC Anderlecht have also secured an option to buy.
Thelo was born in Liverpool and spent part of his youth career at Liverpool FC before joining Wigan Athletic at the age of 14. He broke into the first team there and went on to make a total of 163 appearances, scoring 30 goals and providing 11 assists.
At the beginning of 2025, the attacking midfielder joined Luton Town. After half a season in the Championship, he moved to Rangers FC, where he also gained experience on the European stage. In total, he made 53 appearances for the Scottish club, scoring 9 goals and providing 5 assists.
Aasgaard is also a Norway international. He made his senior international debut in 2025 and was part of Norway’s squad for the 2026 World Cup. He has scored six goals in nine international appearances.
