Dwight Ede Eriyo, a 15-year-old attacking player, has signed his first professional contract with Royal Sporting Club Anderlecht. The player Made in Neerpede is now tied to the club until 2028.
Dwight was born in Brussels on February 17th 2010. At the age of seven, he joined RSC Anderlecht from VK Liedekerke. From the U13 categories onwards, Dwight has often played with older age groups. Since the beginning of the month, he has been included as a player of the RSCA Futures squad.
The last few weeks have been crucial for Dwight. After signing his first contract, he also became the first player born in 2010 to make his professional debut in Belgium. The young striker came on as a substitute in RSCA Futures' victory over Francs Borains, aged just 15 years and 10 months.
Dwight is a humble, calm and focused youngster who is determined to achieve his goals, both at school and in football. On the pitch, he is explosive, fast, powerful and has a good finish. He can play in all positions up front.
Tim Borguet, Chief Sports:
"Dwight embodies what Neerpede stands for: boldness and personality on and off the pitch. Dwight has been here since he was 6 years old. It is always a great thing for our youth academy to offer a first contract to boys who have taken their first steps here. I would also like to thank the Ede Eriyo family for their confidence in our Academy and the club's project."
Congratulations, Dwight.
