RSC Anderlecht travelled to the Jan Breydel Stadium on Sunday evening for the second matchday of the Champions' Play-offs. In addition to the announced absences of Simon Mignolet, Denis Odoi and Andreas Skov Olsen (all injured), Hans Vanaken had to miss the match (due to a sore throat) within the local ranks. For Sporting, Thorgan Hazard was ready, while Thomas Delaney replaced Mats Rits in the starting XI. RSC Anderlecht did not put in a good performance in Bruges and lost 3-1.
