At the start of the season, Stromae released his remix of Anderlecht Champion. A unique reinterpretation of the club’s legendary anthem, originally created in 1985 by Grand Jojo. Produced to mark the 40th anniversary of this iconic song, the remix has now been immortalised on vinyl for true fans and collectors. Mosaert, the creative label behind Stromae, is celebrating the cultural heritage of RSCA this year. Not only did they design the complete kit collection for the current season, they also directed the team photo in a stylised A.
In addition, Stromae - a true Brussels native - reworked Anderlecht Champion, the legendary club anthem written by Grand Jojo after the club’s 18th league title. Forty years on, the song still echoes through the stadium speakers before every home match at the Park.
This remix - Stromae’s very first official remix - is now pressed on a 7-inch vinyl record. The A-side features the remix, while the B-side includes the original club anthem composed by Grand Jojo. This collector’s item is available in a strictly limited edition.
Tribute Night at the Park
The climax of the collaboration with Mosaert will be a Tribute Night in the presence of Grand Jojo’s family on Sunday 25 January, ahead of the match against Dender. With a spectacular stadium show set to the sounds of Anderlecht Champion, Mosaert places the crown on a festive year dedicated to the most beautiful club in the country.
