The match against STVV was entirely dedicated to Tous Mauves, RSC Anderlecht's social inclusion programme. Thanks to our presenting partner Telenet and 11 social organisations in Brussels, the club is fully committed to the digital, sporting, professional, educational, and gender inclusion of youngsters from the capital.
The annual Tous Mauves match brings together as many young people from these organisations as possible for a celebration at the Lotto Park. More than 350 young people were first welcomed at a reception in the stadium before the match against STVV, in the presence of important stakeholders such as Telenet, Mayor Fabrice Cumps and aldermen of Anderlecht, the Flemish Minister for Media and Brussels Cieltje Van Achter and, of course, the representatives of RSC Anderlecht itself such as Chief Business Isabelle Vanden Eede.
At that reception, the very first Tous Mauves award was presented. From the hands of player Marco Kana and Elise Verlinden (Telenet), Bilal El-Yahyaoui received the trophy for his efforts as a basketball coach in the Peterbos neighbourhood.
After the ceremony, wearing the special Tous Mauves hat, the youngsters headed for the stands to attend the game together. From the front row, the youngsters were able to attend the pre-match show by rappers Jazz Brak & Frenetik, who performed a poetic ode to Tous Mauves and the city's talent. When the players also came out of the players' tunnel with, for once, not their own name but the name of a youngster from the Tous Mauves projects on their jersey, the joy and wonder in the stands reached an all-time high.
With also a deserved 2-1 win against STVV, the evening ended with ear-to-ear smiles on the youngsters' faces. The reunion is set for one of the next Tous Mauves activities, through which RSC Anderlecht provides at least 1,000 Brussels youngsters every year with opportunities to develop their talents.
