After a successful test period in some stands, RSC Anderlecht is deploying its smart, reusable cups throughout the stadium starting 20th of April. Fans will enjoy short waiting times and automatic correction of their deposit. This new system ensures a smooth experience as well as a sustainable approach.
This season already, the club conducted several tests to select the best system. With the help of the fans, who gave feedback after the tests, this led to the choice of STAR smart cups, developed by Auxcis, with an integrated RFID chip. The correction of the deposit is automatic, reducing queues.
All practical information about the system
This new system is the result of cooperation with numerous partners. DeSter supplies the smart cups with integrated RFID tags. Adyen, a pioneer in cashless payments, makes it possible to pay easily by bank card or smartphone, in close collaboration with checkout system Twelve. Bevers & Bevers supports the operational implementation.
The smart cup solution is just one part of a wider digitisation in which RSCA completely reimagined the stadium experience. Today, thanks to the open-loop payment system and the seamless link with ticketing and season tickets, visitors experience more comfort, improved speed and more freedom.
