The experienced fixo signs for two seasons

Defender Stefan Rakic (31 years old – 22/11/1993) has signed a two-year contract. The new addition played last season for Bielsko Biala, the Polish club that faced RSCA during the Main Round of the Champions League.

The Serbian international comes from Kragujevac, a small town west of Belgrade. He signed his first professional contract with local club Ekonomac, but Serbia quickly became too small for him. After three seasons, he moved to the neighbouring country Croatia, followed by stints at two clubs in Romania and two in Bosnia. Four years ago, he arrived in the Polish league, where he truly made his mark at Bielsko Biala.

Stefan Rakic has been a mainstay in the Serbian national team since 2012. Alongside Dragan Tomic (former RSCA Futsal player), he played in three European Championships and two World Cups. Last season, the fixo (defender) even faced the Belgian Red Devils twice in the Euro qualifiers. RSCA is therefore bringing a very experienced and well-known figure in international futsal to Roosdaal.

Stefan Rakic: “It’s a great opportunity to showcase my abilities at a top-level club like RSCA Futsal over the next two seasons. The Alfasun Indoor Arena already feels familiar to me. I’m looking forward to stepping into the other dressing room soon - the home one. Thanks to my matches in the Futsal Champions League and with the national team, I already know my new club quite well. I’m excited to get started with training in early August.”
