RSCA Women win their 12th Cup

On Saturday afternoon, the RSCA Women lifted the Belgian Cup at La Louvière, defeating SV Zulte Waregem 3-0 in convincing fashion. After a hard-fought final and an outstanding cup campaign, the Mauves claimed the trophy and crowned their season with a memorable achievement.

Following a 7-0 win against KVK Ninove in the Round of 16, the next challenge on their road to the Belgian Cup was KAA Gent Ladies. Playing at the Lotto Park, Sporting booked their place in the semi-finals with a 2-1 victory over Gent.

The semi-final against Club YLA promised to be an exciting encounter between two top sides. The Mauves emerged victorious with a 4-2 win thanks to goals from Andrea Bjarnadóttir, Ștefania Vătafu, and Vigdis Kristjánsdóttir, who scored twice.

This result sent the RSCA Women to the Belgian Cup final for the second consecutive year. On the artificial turf of the Easi Arena, the team defeated Essevee thanks to two goals from Nikki IJzerman and one from Luna Vanzeir.
