The Play-Off Bracket

RSCA Futsal finished first in the regular season and will face RWDM Futsal in the first round
LUIGI

The regular futsal season came to an end last weekend. As in recent years, RSCA Futsal finished at the top of the standings once again. The Mauves held a 14-point lead over their closest rivals, FULL Hasselt. Luca Cragnaz’s men won 20 out of 22 matches, losing only once and drawing once. They scored a total of 134 goals and conceded just 40 – the best attack and, by far, the best defense in the league.

As usual, those stats don’t mean much heading into the play-offs, where the top eight teams face off. Only the final positions from the regular season matter. In the quarter-finals, the first-placed team plays the eighth, the second plays the seventh, and so on. Each round is played in a best-of-three format. The first leg is played at the lower-seeded team’s venue, while the return leg – and a potential third match – take place at the higher seed.

In the quarter-finals, RSCA Futsal (1st) will face RWDM Futsal (8th), the only team that managed to beat them during the regular season. If the Mauves advance, they’ll meet the winner of FT Antwerpen vs. FAL Soumagne in the semi-finals. As the top seed, Sporting would again play the first leg away, both in the semi-finals and a possible final. Discover the path RSCA Futsal must take to defend their title and be crowned champions once more.
