Last weekend, RSC Anderlecht’s U16 girls were crowned Belgian champions with two games left in the season - a historic first for the club. They claimed an emphatic 0-4 away win at Beerschot and, with a seven-point lead over closest challengers Standard, can no longer be caught.
Across 22 matches, the team recorded no fewer than 20 wins, suffering only two narrow defeats. Over the course of this impressive season, they scored 82 goals and conceded just 12. With two standout fixtures still to come against Club Brugge (02/05) and Standard (17/05), they will also contest the Cup final against Brugge in La Louvière on May 30.
Congratulations to the players and staff.
