Bram Geers becomes new Performance Director

The Belgian leaves Bayern Munich to return to RSC Anderlecht at the head of the Performance department
BRAM GEERS

With Bram Geers (32), RSC Anderlecht has appointed a Performance Director who will drive the club's overarching policy and take strategic charge of players' physical development and medical guidance. Bram is returning to RSC Anderlecht after three seasons. Between 2017 and 2022, he worked at the club as Physical Coach. In the summer of 2022, together with Vincent Kompany, Bram moved to British side Burnley FC. In previous seasons, Bram was active in the Championship, the Premier League and the Bundesliga with top German club Bayern Munich. In those seasons, he celebrated promotion to the Premier League and the championship with Bayern Munich.

With Joris Jellasics, a Strength & Conditioning Coach is also added to the Performance team. Joris has previously worked at OHL, the national U19 and in judo with Paris Saint-Germain and Judo Vlaanderen, among others. Vincent Adriaensen also strengthens the Performance team as an ostheopath and sports physiotherapist. Adriaensen also has experience at the Judo Federation, where he coached award-winning athletes such as Nikiforov, Van Tichelt and Casse. He was part of the BOIC's Olympic delegation at the Rio 2016, Tokyo 2020 and Paris 2024 Games.

CEO Sports Tim Borguet:

"I am delighted that we have convinced Bram to be part of this new chapter. Bram is synonymous with the expertise and personality that meet the high demands at Royal Sporting Club Anderlecht. He will be the guiding voice of one of the most crucial departments at the club. I would also like to thank Bayern's sporting management for their constructive cooperation in this process."

Bram Geers will lead the Performance department, that includes two immediate reinforcements.

"The club wants to continue to strengthen its position as the best destination for talent, both on and off the pitch. In that sense, I am delighted that we are strengthening the team with Vincent Adriaensen and Joris Jellasics, both top profiles in their discipline. This is a first - not the last - solid step in our ambition to continue to install an elite top sport culture at Neerpede”, concludes CEO Sports Tim Borguet.
