Andrea Rut Bjarnadóttir (26/09/2003 – 22 years old) is an Icelandic player who operates as an attacking midfielder. She comes from Breidablik, where she was often decisive. After representing Iceland at youth levels, she has also been called up to the senior national team, where she played as a winger. Andrea is therefore a versatile and creative player who adds more options to the attacking line of RSCA Women.

Trained at Thróttur Reykjavík, where she played many first-division matches, Andrea moved to Breiðablik in 2022, where she played alongside Vigdís Kristjánsdóttir. The partnership between the two players is therefore expected to develop naturally. Like Vigdís, RSCA Women will be Andrea’s first major adventure abroad.

“For my first season here, my goal is clear: to win the league and the cup,” Andrea said with ambition. “I want to contribute as much as possible and help the team succeed. I chose to wear number 7 because it symbolizes confidence and ambition for me.”

“When the opportunity to join RSCA came up, the decision was easy. RSCA Women plays at the highest level, and that is exactly where I want to be as a player. A message for the fans? I just want to let them know I’m looking forward to meeting them and starting this adventure together,” the Icelander smiled.

Welcome to Sporting and good luck, Andrea.
