Old love never rusts. In 2024, Lina Meeuwis (22) left the Mauves to join KAA Gent Ladies, where she aimed to further develop her game and gain valuable playing time. After two successful seasons with the Buffalos, Lina is now making her return to RSCA Women.
Lina is a versatile, attack-minded wing-back. The left-footed player is highly adaptable and can operate both at left-back and in the heart of the defence. She combines physical strength with pace and strong game intelligence. In addition, Lina is known for her excellent mentality and tireless work ethic.
With her return to RSCA Women, Lina is now looking to take the next step in her career: “I think it was necessary for me to leave two years ago. I needed to rediscover myself in football and take my game to the next level. At that time, KAA Gent was a good option for me to return there for a while. I was able to gain a lot of experience, play regularly and learn a great deal. Now I feel ready to take the next step in my development.”
