RSCA 4-2 KAS Eupen

This Sunday, RSCA hosted KAS Eupen for the fifteenth matchday of the Jupiler Pro League. After Thursday's European match, Moussa N'Diaye, Yari Verschaeren (not fit) and Kristian Arnstad (suspended) were replaced in the starting line-up by Zeno Debast, Mario Stroeykens and Majeed Ashimeru. In a match in which youth product Théo Leoni also made his debut, the Mauves grabbed four goals and took three deserved points.

Francis Amuzu had the first real chance of the match, but goalkeeper Lennart Moser saved the ball well. Anderlecht dominated, but only after 15 minutes Francis Amuzu found the net with his second attempt with a low shot into the short corner. Lior Refaelov then quickly doubled the lead with a beautiful free kick into the top corner after a firm foul on Majeed Ashimeru. Francis Amuzu and Fábio Silva failed to deepen the score despite good chances shortly after. It was even the Pandas who came a little closer just before half-time, when Wesley Hoedt made an own goal on a free kick by Stef Peeters.

After half-time, Hendrik Van Crombrugge had to make a brilliant save on Stef Peeters' well-curled ball. Moments later, Anouar Ait El Hadj's shot was blocked by Lennart Moser, but Lior Refaelov was to score in the rebound. But again KAS Eupen managed to moderate the score, this time on a cross from Stef Peeters that managed to find the net through the full backline. And with ten minutes to go, Hendrik Van Crombrugge had to pull out all the stops to save on an effort by Smail Prevljak. Fifteen minutes before full time, Theo Leoni was allowed to make his debut in RSCA's first team. And the youth product immediately made himself noticed with a shot from outside the box. However, the 4-2 was made by another Neerpede player: Anouar Ait El Hadj curled the ball beautifully into the top right corner, scoring his second goal of the weekend after his goal for the RSCA Futures on Saturday. Final score 4-2, and three points for purple-white.
