Nathan De Cat joins Hoffenheim

NATHAN DE CAT

RSC Anderlecht and TSG Hoffenheim have reached an agreement on the transfer of Nathan De Cat. The 17-year-old midfielder completes a move to the Bundesliga after an outstanding breakthrough season, becoming the third most expensive outgoing transfer in RSC Anderlecht’s history.

Nathan De Cat spent eight years developing in the Neerpede academy. After making 33 appearances for the RSCA Futures, he made his official first-team debut at the age of 16 against Fenerbahçe in the UEFA Europa League.

The following season, Nathan quickly established himself as one of the team’s key players. His performances earned him the Young Player of the Year award at the Belgian Golden Boot, while the RSCA fans overwhelmingly voted him Player of the Year. The ultimate recognition followed in March, when Nathan received his first call-up to the Belgian national team and earned his first senior cap against the United States.

The talented midfielder made 53 appearances for the Mauves. With just one year remaining on his contract, the homegrown talent has now chosen to take the next step in his career. Nathan joins an illustrious list of academy graduates who have secured record-breaking transfers, alongside the likes of Jérémy Doku, Youri Tielemans and Zeno Debast.

Everyone at RSC Anderlecht would like to thank Nathan for his commitment and wishes him every success in the next chapter of his career.

Merci, ket.
