The ball is rolling again at Neerpede. On Monday, the players returned to the club after the summer break. Preparations for the 2025–2026 season have kicked off with a first meeting with the new signings and two training sessions led by the renewed coaching staff. There were many new faces on the training pitch. New arrivals Zoumana Keita, Cedric Hatenboer, and Mihajlo Cvetkovic trained for the first time under Besnik Hasi. The revamped coaching staff also took to the field together for the first time. Edward Still, Jérémy Taravel, and goalkeeping coach Justin Verlinden led their first training session with the Mauves. Lucas Biglia was not yet present.
The players who were on international duty were also absent from the first training session of the new season. The full list of absentees:
