In recent weeks, our youth teams have taken part in several tournaments both in Belgium and abroad. At many of these tournaments, our young talents triumphed and brought the trophy back to Neerpede. Here is an overview of the recent achievements of our Ketten.
From Thursday, May 1 to Sunday, May 4, the Lions Cup took place on the fields of RFC Wetteren. RSCA was represented by three teams: U7, U8, and U9. All three teams celebrated tournament victory after an excellent performance against Belgian elite clubs.
On Saturday, May 3, the U9 also took part in the youth tournament hosted by HO Kalken. RSCA was crowned the elite tournament winner for the third consecutive time. After an exciting final against Club Brugge, our U9 lifted the trophy.
On May 10 and 11, both the U8 and U9 teams took part in the Assess’ Cup, an international tournament featuring clubs such as West Ham, Ajax, and FC Copenhagen. Both Purple & White teams won the prestigious tournament with impressive performances. The U8s went unbeaten and triumphed in the final against Standard Liège with a score of 10-2. Our U9s also won all their matches and were crowned overall winners after defeating French side U.S. Villejuif 5-2 in the final.
