Victor Delgado joins the staff. During the off-season, the technical staff of RSCA Futsal underwent some important changes. The new coach, Alvaro Martinez, will now be supported by his compatriot Delgado as physical coach. Although both coaches have Spanish roots, the connection is purely coincidental.
Victor Delgado is no stranger to futsal. For five years, he worked as an instructor at the Catalan football school. The Spaniard also spent four seasons with Santa Coloma, a top club in Spain’s highest division. Afterwards, he moved to Asia, where he coached the Japanese side Nagoya for two years and also served as head coach of the Kyrgyzstan national team for a time.
Most recently, he worked as Physical Coach at European powerhouse Kairat Almaty, with whom he reached the Champions League final. Delgado has signed a two-year contract with the Mauves.
