A comeback in Portugal. On Wednesday evening, RSCA Women secured their spot in the next round of the Women’s Europa Cup. Sporting completely turned the game around against SC Braga. The Portuguese side took the lead twice, but each time the Mauves fought back. Final score: 2-3. The draw for the round of 16 will take place on Friday, October 17.
After Braga took the lead from the penalty spot, Luna Vanzeir levelled the score before halftime. The 1-1 scoreline held until the 90th minute, sending the game into extra time. Things looked grim when Braga scored early in the added period.
