RSCA loses top match 2-1

The top game of the fifth matchday was the clash between Club Bruges and Anderlecht. The Purple & White started with the usual starting line-up at the Jan Breydel Stadium. The decision about the suspension of Vranjes was put off, so the Bosnian took his position in central defence. Amuzu started on the left wing, like last week against Excel Moeskroen.

In an intense opening, Club Bruges took the lead after three minutes via Dennis. Somewhat later on, the Purple & White were dangerous for the first time, Santini was not able to reach Trebel’s centre. After 19 minutes, Musona scored the equalizer after an assist by Dimata. It appeared that 1-1 was going to be the half-time score, but right before the break, Vanaken put in the 2-1. Thanks to a number of good interventions by Didillon, that score remained on the board in the second half. Bakkali made his debut, but was not able to turn the tide.
