RSCA draws against Lokeren (1-1)

RSC Anderlecht took on Lokeren in the Jupiler Pro League today, on Thursday 1 November. Coach Hein Vanhaezebrouck was not able to count on Adrien Trebel and Andy Najar, but Landry Dimata and Zakaria Bakkali were available again. Before the match, Olivier Deschacht was honoured, while Remco Evenepoel, World Champion cycling with the juniors kicked off the game, together with Purple & White legend Pär Zetterberg.

In the first half, not a lot of opportunities were created on either side. After thirty minutes, Anderlecht became dangerous after all. Alexis Saelemaekers tried to beat goalie De Wolf from a distance. Somewhat later on, Bakkali was close to scoring the 1-0 with the head. On the verge of half-time, Makarenko took a swing, but he hit the crossbar.

Right after half-time, Didillon turned a strong kick by De Ridder into a corner. From that corner, no other than Olivier Deschacht scored with the header: 0-1 for the visitors. This lead did not last long, however: after an hour, Landy Dimata scored the equalizer on a pass by Saelemaekers. The home team increased the pressure and were close to the 2-1, but goalie De Wolf kept Sven Kums from scoring after a good pass by Dimata. The score stayed the same, as a result of which RSCA lost two points at home.
