The Mauves have won their two-legged tie against PAOK. After taking a 0-1 lead from the first leg in Greece, RSCA completed the job at home with a 3-2 victory over the Greek side. Sporting now advances to the Europa League play-offs, where Kazakh side Kairat Almaty awaits. Tickets for that game are already available to Mauve+ members and season ticket holders, while general sale starts on Friday 14 August at 1pm.
Last week, RSCA returned from Greece with a narrow lead. In a sold-out Lotto Park, the Mauves not only defended their lead in style, but also extended it. Thanks to Pétrot’s opener, an excellent placed finish from Ambros and a stroke of genius from Sikan, Sporting beat PAOK 3-2.
Following this victory, the Mauves continue their European campaign with a place in the Europa League League Phase at stake. RSCA travels to Kazakhstan next Thursday for the first leg against Kairat Almaty. The return leg will take place at the Park on Thursday 27 August.
