The Mauves are heading back to the Heysel. A 0-4 victory at the Bosuil wiped out the first-leg defeat. The goals for the Brussels side were scored by Nathan Saliba, Tristan Degreef and Nathan De Cat. RSCA thus reach the Belgian Cup final for the second consecutive year. This year, they will face neighbours Union Saint-Gilloise.
A lightning start at the Bosuil. Nathan De Cat delivered a pinpoint cross onto the head of Nathan Saliba, who left goalkeeper Brandon Nozawa with no chance. From the very first minute of the first half to the very last: Tristan Degreef rounded the Antwerp goalkeeper and tapped the ball into an empty net.
By half-time, the Mauves had one foot at the Heysel. After his pinpoint assist in the first half, “Talent of the Year” Nathan De Cat made it 0-3 with a long-range strike. An own goal by Antwerp extended the lead to 0-4. With a convincing victory in Antwerp, Sporting head to the King Baudouin Stadium for the second consecutive year.
The highlights, reactions and full match will be available on Mauve TV from Friday 13 February at 2pm.
