Players of RSCA Undergo CPR Training

UEFA’s ‘Get Trained, Save Lives’ Program Aims to Save Lives

Millions of people enjoy football in Europe. Whether on the field or in the stands, their hearts beat for football. But what if a heart suddenly stops? With the Get Trained, Save Lives program, UEFA aims to save lives. All RSCA players have completed this vital CPR training to ensure they can act quickly in an emergency.

Since every second counts in the case of sudden cardiac arrest, all purple-white players underwent CPR training. They were taught how to respond quickly and effectively in an emergency. This course was initiated by UEFA—in collaboration with the European Resuscitation Council and the European Club Association—to raise awareness about sudden cardiac arrest and to train football fans, players, staff, and volunteers in CPR skills.

Every day, many people die from sudden cardiac arrest in Europe. It is the third leading cause of death on the continent, affecting 1 in 1,000 people each year. It can happen to anyone, anytime, anywhere. Getting medical assistance and starting CPR immediately is crucial. Every minute that passes decreases the chances of survival by 10%.

With this campaign, UEFA aims to raise awareness not only among clubs but also among fans. Through the online training course, you can test your knowledge of CPR and receive the same instructions as our players. This way, you’ll know exactly what to do in an emergency and help save lives.
