Academy Talent Director Peter Verbeke (42) has decided to take on a new challenge. After more than 10 years in Belgian professional football, Peter is returning to his roots and will join Walter Van Steenbrugge's law firm, where he will once again focus on sports law and the coaching and guidance of young athletes. Peter will remain with the club until the end of the year to ensure a smooth transition.
Before joining RSC Anderlecht, Peter Verbeke previously worked as a Recruitment Coordinator at Club Brugge and as Sports Manager at KAA Gent. In March 2020, Peter became Head of Sports at RSC Anderlecht and rose to the position of CEO. Since the end of 2023, as Academy Talent Director, he has been responsible for the retention and recruitment of young talent and the development of several key innovation projects within the youth academy.
After five seasons, I'm saying goodbye to RSC Anderlecht. It has been an absolute privilege to be able to oversee the development of our young talent in various roles. I am immensely grateful to the club and all the talented people I've had the pleasure of working with over the past few seasons. I've now found another challenge where I can apply my accumulated expertise to not only legally protect young athletes but also guide them in their sportive and personal development.
