The international break is over, and so is the transfer window. On Sunday evening, purple and white host Racing Genk at Lotto Park. At Friday’s press conference, our coach Besnik Hasi confidently looked ahead to the clash. “No one coming to the Lotto Park is the favorite.” Watch his full press conference now on Mauve TV.
According to Hasi, RSCA will not appear weakened on the pitch in the first match after the transfer window. “The club has brought in young profiles who can add value. Yes, we are a young team, but we will grow collectively,” said the coach, who will soon be able to count on Camara and Sardella again. “I believe we will make a lot of progress throughout the season.”
Following Kasper Dolberg’s departure, purple and white now rely on Luis Vázquez up front. “It’s not easy to follow in Dolberg’s footsteps,” the coach knows, “but Luis now has the chance to prove himself. He works very hard, so that won’t be an issue.” Hasi will not yet be able to count on Ilic, who joined purple and white on deadline day. The paperwork is not fully completed, so the Serbian is not yet eligible to play.
Despite the defeats against AEK Athens and Union, Hasi remains ambitious. “Those were two major disappointments. In addition, the two red cards against Union didn’t make things easier.” In Dudenpark, the fans also expressed their dissatisfaction. “The players have felt the supporters’ message,” the coach said. “Now it’s up to us to respond on the pitch.”
See you on Sunday, September 14, at 18:30 in Lotto Park.
