Michiel Haentjens (18), the young goalkeeper of RSCA Futures, has extended his contract with the Mauves until 2027. Michiel has been playing in Neerpede since 2017. By the end of his new contract, he will have spent ten years at Sporting.
“Michiel Haentjens is a goalkeeper who stands out for his excellent footwork, his reliability in build-up play, and his precise passing under pressure,” says Tim Borguet, Chief Academy. “Michiel is athletic, technically strong on his line, exudes an impressive sense of calm in goal, and commands his defense well. After almost ten years in our youth academy, we look forward to seeing him develop in the Challenger Pro League.”
