On Sunday evening, Taravel’s men travelled to KV Mechelen. It was a clash between two teams still very much in contention for a spot in the Champions’ Play-offs. After a first half filled with physical duels and two major chances - one at each side - RSCA took the initiative in the second period. Through players such as Adriano Bertaccini, Sporting created good opportunities, but were punished in stoppage time. Myron van Brederode scored the only goal of the game. It finished 1-0 at Achter de Kazerne, meaning the Mauves will have to secure their place in the Champions’ Play-offs on the final matchday at home against Cercle Brugge.
