Experienced Swedish striker Klara Folkesson (25 - 28/03/2000) has signed a one-year contract with the Mauves. She joins RSCA Women from top Swedish side Hammarby.
Ahead of the 2024 season, in which her team finished third in the league, Klara returned to Hammarby for a second stint. This followed several injury-hit seasons and her first experience abroad, with Apollon Limassol in Cyprus.
In 2023, she rediscovered her form at Uppsala, scoring ten goals for a team that unfortunately couldn’t avoid relegation. Her performances earned her a return to Hammarby, the club she first joined at the age of 16 in 2017.
Dave Mattheus: “Klara is a strong and powerful forward who has already proven herself in Sweden. She caught the eye of top-tier club Hammarby, but unfortunately suffered an ACL injury. We’re confident she can relaunch her career with us.”
