Kamiel Timmermans (16) has signed his first professional contract. The young Belgian commits to our club until 2027. RSCA rewards Kamiel for his strong performances and continues to strengthen its pool of young goalkeepers.
Kamiel joined the Mauves’ U13 team in 2020. Since then, he has developed both on and off the pitch. The goalkeeper is known as a hard worker with a healthy lifestyle. Kamiel is also enrolled in RSCA’s academic program.
Throughout the youth teams, Kamiel has always been easy to recognize — thanks to his height (1.90 meters) and his helmet, which he wears during every match as a preventive measure. This season, the 16-year-old played for RSCA’s U18 team and also featured in Belgium’s national youth teams.
Recently, Kamiel travelled to Portugal with RSCA’s U16 for the Algarve Elite Cup. Thanks to his strong performances, RSCA went unbeaten and conceded no goals during regular time. Sporting finished the tournament in third place.
Kamiel Timmermans:
“I’ve been playing for this beautiful club for five years now. I feel at home here at RSC Anderlecht and want to continue growing. Knowing the club believes in me gives me confidence and motivates me to give my all every day.”
Congratulations, Kamiel.
