Matchday 30 of the Jupiler Pro League is behind us. For some players of the Mauves, this not only marks the end of the regular season, but also the start of an international break ahead of the Champions’ Play-offs. For Nathan De Cat, it’s an immediate step up to the senior squad: the 17-year-old midfielder has received his first call-up to the Red Devils. Nathan Saliba and Ali Maamar are also heading out on international duty. Discover the full list below.
Nathan De Cat has been called up for the first time by Rudi Garcia. He will travel with the Red Devils to the United States for two friendly matches. On Saturday, March 28, Belgium will face the USA. Four days later (01/04), a match against Mexico is scheduled.
Ali Maamar and Anas Tajaouart, both U20 world champions with Morocco, have been called up to Morocco’s U23 side, along with Elyess Dao. Seventeen-year-old Amine Mahroug receives his first call-up to the U20 squad.
Nathan Saliba will play for Canada against Iceland (28/03) and Tunisia (31/03). Mihajlo Cvetković faces a triple header with Serbia U19 against England (25/03), Portugal (28/03) and Poland (31/03). Mathys Angély will face Norway, Switzerland and Croatia with France U19.
Devon De Corte joins the United States U20 squad. Samuel Ntanda-Lukisa and Joël Kana have been called up for Congo U23, with Joël earning his first opportunity to represent his country.
Finally, the young Red Devils are also heavily represented by the Mauves. Nunzio Engwanda is part of the U19 squad. Terry Van De Ven and Alexander De Ridder will play for the U18s, while Mattis Seghers and Jayden Onia Seke will represent the U17s.
