Tomorrow, Saturday 3 March, RSC Anderlecht will visit the Regenboog Stadium of SV Zulte Waregem. Coach Hein Vanhaezebrouck talked to the press before the game.
"We are missing a few youngsters selected for the national U-21 team this weekend, but Francis Amuzu and Albert Sambi Lokonga have stayed", Hein Vanhaezebrouck opened. "Other than that, everyone is available, except for the long-term injured players. Henry Onyekuru will undergo a number of tests the next few weeks, but he will not join the group for a few weeks. Kara has been convalescing in Spain the past few weeks, but he is not really progressing. Andy Najar is making a lot of progress, but he will not yet be ready at the start of the play-offs."
The general atmosphere during training improved after the victory over Excel Moeskroen. "The last weeks, there has been a good atmosphere at training, even with the losses, but despite that feeling of course you also need a win. We looked at the goals against and analysed them, we are aware of the fact that those could have been avoided. But okay, now we have to finish those final games in a positive way. Play-Off I will not just be between Club Brugge and Charleroi, the teams behind us will also play their part. Genk and Gent have taken a number of points after the winter break. Club does start the play-offs with a nice bonus, but apart from that it’s all close. It will be a thriller."
Before the start of the play-offs, there will be a mini training week abroad. "We normally leave for Spain for five days immediately after the match against Antwerp, we will see what we can do to create a solid group there. In Belgium you’re not sure of good weather, it can still freeze in March, so the sun will do us good there. Of course we will also train, physically and otherwise, but the focus will be on the group."
