After the last European match against Fenerbahçe, coach David Hubert reflected on his team’s European campaign.
“It was important for me that we showed this side of ourselves on Thursday,” said the head coach. “That satisfies me as a coach and gives me a feeling of pride. Looking back at our entire European campaign, there are many positive aspects. Of course, there are things that need to be improved, and there were learning moments. There was the poor performance in Plzen and the fifteen-minute lapse against Hoffenheim. There was also an own goal in Riga, without which we would have qualified directly for the round of 16. Sometimes, small details make the difference, like today, and we must learn from them to improve. But I look back with great satisfaction on the strong performances we delivered against good opponents, as well as on today’s match.”
