Abdel Camara (15) has signed his first professional contract. The young midfielder has been with Anderlecht since 2018 and has already received multiple call-ups to the Belgian national team’s Futures squad. Abdel commits to RSCA until at least 2028.
Football runs in the Camara family’s blood. His father, Lanfia, played for clubs such as FC Brussels, Racing Mechelen, and Patro Eisden. He earned 14 caps for the Guinean national team and was active at FC Ganshoren until last season. Abdel began his football journey at Crossing Schaerbeek and joined RSCA’s U9 team in 2018. His youngest brother also plays for the Mauves.
Though a late bloomer physically, Abdel has shown early maturity mentally. Last year, he received his first call-up to Belgium’s U15 national team. He is currently part of Belgium’s Futures squad and plays in the U16 midfield and defense at RSCA.
Tim Borguet, Chief Academy:
“Abdel joined the Mauves in 2018 and has developed with seriousness and consistency ever since. Formed at Neerpede from the U9 level, he quickly showed a rare maturity for his age. A smart and disciplined midfielder, comfortable under pressure, he combines composure, precision, and game intelligence. He now has the opportunity to continue his journey here with the same level of commitment.”
