David Verwilghen will become RSC Anderlecht's new Scouting & Recruitment Director. He will lead the renewed scouting department. Dries Belaen is leaving the club.
David spent the past five seasons as Sports Director at RAAL La Louvière. At Les Loups, he played an important role in their promotion to the Jupiler Pro League thanks to his methodical recruitment. David previously worked in the corporate world at Deloitte and Accenture, among others, and has a background as a civil engineer.
With Hugo Rios-Neto (Data Scientist at Orlando City SC in the MLS and previously Club Atlético Mineiro in Brazil), a Recruitment Data Specialist will also join the club in the new year.
David will be in charge of the scouting department. Hugo will oversee the department's data analysis. This also means that after five seasons, the collaboration with Dries Belaen will come to an end. The club would like to thank Dries and wishes him all the best in his further career.
