1985 - Grand Jojo writes a global hit

1985. Brussels folk hero Grand Jojo records the song Anderlecht Champion together with the players of the time, in celebration of the club’s 18th national title. The infectious “Allez Allez Allez” becomes an instant hit, and is still played in the stadium before every home game of Sporting.

In the years that followed, the song would conquer the whole world. “Allez” became “Olé” ahead of the 1986 World Cup, and the song  was embraced across the globe in football stadiums and far beyond. The contagious “Olé Olé Olé” became global football heritage, a universal synonym for joy and victory.

A remix by Stromae as a tribute

Forty years later, RSC Anderlecht honours the cultural heritage of the Mauves together with Mosaert, the creative collective behind that other Brussels institution and “Brusseleir of the Year”, Stromae. A celebration of their shared Belgitude. Lovers of their city and country, with a sense of humour and self-mockery.

Their first collaboration is a world premiere. For the first time in his career, Stromae makes a remix of an existing song. His rework of Anderlecht Champion is a tribute to the worldwide impact and legacy of Anderlecht Champion Stromae’s remix is an addition to the original song, which will continue to be played in the stadium before every home match.

In the official clip of the song, the four new Joma kits for the 2025/26 season are presented. This shirt collection was also designed by Mosaert.

Shirt collection designed by Mosaert

Mosaert designed the full collection with the four official Joma kits for the upcoming season. The home, away, third, and tribute kits all refer to the shirts worn in the 1980s, the period in which Anderlecht Champion was born.

Sporting will play in purple at home and white away. The third kit is silver. The special fourth kit is black, and features Grand Jojo’s name in the collar. In addition to the match version with main sponsors Sunweb and Napoleon Sports, fans can also purchase a version of the fourth shirt with the Mosaert logo printed on the chest.

The shirts are now available online. The fanshop at the Lotto Park is currently being renovated and will reopen on 9 July.
