Joshua Lambrechts has signed his first professional contract. The 15-year-old defender, born on May 3, 2011 in Mortsel, has been playing for the Mauves for two years already. He signed a deal with the club running until 2029.
Joshua joined RSCA two seasons ago from KV Mechelen. Last season, he played at left-back for the club’s U15 side alongside Loïc Ngassa, Maycon Coosemans and Tiago De Vincentis - players from the 2011 generation who also recently signed their first professional contracts. Last year, he won the Ibn Battuta Cup in Morocco with that team.
On the pitch, Joshua is known for his fighting spirit and his determination to battle for the team. In addition, he has strong technical ability and delivers excellent crosses, thanks to his background as an attack-minded player.
Off the pitch, he also makes a strong impression at Neerpede. Joshua is a polite and respectful young man who prefers to stay out of the spotlight. He is also following RSCA’s academic development pathway.
Tim Borguet:
“Joshua will enter his third season at RSCA in the 2026/2027 campaign, after two seasons at the club. Very composed under pressure, tactically disciplined and fully committed to defensive work, he also stands out for his high level of maturity and exemplary mentality. We are satisfied with Joshua’s development and happy to see him continue his journey at the club, with the conviction that he will keep progressing positively.”
