Club football will make way for international football over the next two weeks. While some players will get a few days off after a busy start to the season, others will join up with their national teams. No fewer than 28 RSCA players have been called up for their countries.

Good news for Tawfik Bentayeb: the Moroccan striker has been medically cleared to travel to Morocco for his first call-up with the Atlas Lions. Together with Ali Maamar, he will face Gabon and Lesotho, among others, in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Two players are heading to Eastern Europe for the Nations League group stage. Danylo Sikan has been called up by Ukraine, while Oleg Reabciuk will represent Moldova. Lukas Ambros (Czech Republic) and Mihajlo Cvetković (Serbia) will also represent their countries in the Nations League.

Looking towards Northern Europe, one more RSCA player will be in action during the international break. Thelo Aasgaard will face Denmark, Portugal and Wales with Norway in the Nations League.

Youth internationals also feature plenty of Mauves

RSCA is also well represented in the Belgian youth national teams during the upcoming international break. Five players have been called up for the U19s: Alexander De Ridder, Jayden Onia Seke, Joshua Nga Kana, Noa Ojea and Terry Chinecherem. They will play friendlies against the Netherlands, Northern Ireland and England.

Five Neerpede players have also been selected for the U18s: Ilyas Benktib, Milan Debast, Noah Kalonji, Mattis Seghers and Rune Verstrepen. The Young Red Devils, who reached the EURO final in June, will play friendlies against Uruguay (3/10) and Sweden (6/10).

No fewer than six Sportingboys have been called up for Belgium U17. Dwight Ede Eriyo, Noé Kagé, Jean Cieslinski, Lucas Mbuyi-Kalombo, Adjani Bia Mujangi and Hidde Sysmans will face Scotland (29/9), the USA (1/10) and the Netherlands (3/10).

Willsem Boussaid, who opened his account for the Mauves last weekend, has been called up for the Algeria U23s. Kaïs Barry and Elyess Dao will represent Morocco U23, while Rami Lougmani, top scorer at the previous edition of the Future Cup, will feature for Morocco U17. Daniel Deldicq has been called up for Portugal U16.
