Following their resounding 12-2 victory over Bouraza FT in a match brought forward due to the Main Round of the Futsal Champions League (which will be hosted at home from 29 to 31 October), RSCA Futsal will have a bye in the league next weekend. This will be followed by an international break dedicated to the European qualifiers for the FIFA Futsal World Cup.
Steven Dillien, Tom Cardoen and Kenneth Vanderheyden will face Norway away (on 16 October) and Slovenia at home (on 21 October) at the Lotto Arena in Antwerp. This will be a chance for revenge, as Belgium suffered a narrow 4-5 defeat to Slovenia following a hard-fought encounter in their second group match at the recent European Championship.
Latvian Edgars Tarakanovs and Serbian Stefan Rakic are the other two players of the Mauves who have been called up to their national teams. Latvia will play a single qualifying match away in the Czech Republic on 20 October. Serbia, meanwhile, will host Andorra on 16 October, before travelling to face our Dutch neighbours on 21 October.
