Last Wednesday, the Lotto Park opened its doors for the Fanday. Fans of the Mauves, young and old, had the chance to watch the first team during an open training session, before the players took plenty of time to meet the fans in attendance. For more than two hours, they signed autographs and posed for photos with supporters in the Fanzone, where a range of activities took place throughout the afternoon.
The first fans arrived at the Park at 14:00. Half an hour later, they watched the first team in action during an open training session that lasted more than an hour. Afterwards, captain Colin Coosemans picked out a few young supporters from the stands and gave them the chance to try and beat him from the penalty spot.
After the open training session and penalty shoot-out, the full squad was presented and head coach Vítor Bruno answered questions during a live Q&A on the pitch. Players and fans then made their way to the Fanzone, where a range of activities took place throughout the afternoon thanks to our partners.
The best photos from the Fanday:
In the Fanzone, supporters could challenge each other in the e-sports area, test their football skills in the speed, reflex and header challenges, and go head-to-head in 2v2 and 4v4 table football games. The most adventurous supporters took on the zipline from the roof of the Lotto Park.
The youngest Ketjes also enjoyed an afternoon packed with fun. They could visit the face-painting stand for a special look “en mauve et blanc” and have fun on the bouncy castle. DJ KPasa kept the atmosphere going throughout the day with a selection of football classics, mixed on vinyl.
The players were spread across four stands in the Fanzone, signing autographs and taking photos with supporters of all ages from 17:00 to 19:30. At 18:30, the winner of the Fanday Quiz was also announced. One lucky supporter went home with a shirt signed by the entire team.
