Aude Waldbillig moves to RB Leipzig for record fee

Aude Waldbillig

Aude Waldbillig (2 June 2007 - 18 years old) will play for RB Leipzig in the Bundesliga from next season on. This constitutes an absolute record transfer for the club in women's football.

The goalkeeper (1m76) was formed in the youth academy of RSC Anderlecht and has been part of our first team since the summer of 2023. She made her debut at the age of 16.

Besides her skills on the line, Aude also quickly impressed with her qualities on the ball. Already in 2024, she played an important part in RSCA Women's last league title in 2024.

As a U21 international, Aude played in all national youth teams and is already considered one of the future star players for the Red Flames. She has already gained a lot of experience on the European stage thanks to her nine European games with the RSCA Women.

After her outstanding performances in Belgium, the goalkeeper is now taking a new step in her career and making the move to a top league.

Dave Mattheus, Director RSCA Women, said:

"This transfer of a young, talented goalkeeper is first and foremost an important recognition for the club. Aude is a textbook example of a player who has progressed from our youth academy and will make a well-deserved step after this season for a record fee. We grant her this transfer wholeheartedly. As a club, we want to continue to professionalise and expand our business model, and record transfers like this play an important part in that. We look forward to entering the decisive phase of the season with Aude and with ambition."
