RSCA 0-2 KRC Genk

RSCA 0-2 KRC Genk

RSC Anderlecht faced the Jupiler Pro League leaders just before the World Cup break on Sunday evening. Noah Sadiki and Kristian Arnstad started in the starting line-up, with Hendrik Van Crombrugge also resuming his place in goal after Thursday's cup game.

The visitors put Hendrik Van Crombrugge under pressure from the start, the first danger coming from Mike Trésor. Sporting poked back with an effort from Yari Verschaeren, without much danger. The Genk insistence resulted in a goal after more than 15 minutes of play: Paul Onuachu opened the score. 0-1 at half-time.

In the second half, Genk quickly doubled the lead through Gerardo Arteaga after a cross from Joseph Paintsil. After the break, a lot of new names came between the lines for RSCA, but Sporting struggled to find its pace. In the closing stages, Genk were left with 10 men, but the score did not change.
