Kasper Dolberg signs for RSCA

Kasper Dolberg

Kasper Dolberg is RSC Anderlecht's new striker. The 25-year-old Danish striker joins us from OGC Nice. He has signed a deal for four seasons and will travel with the team for the summer camp in Austria on Saturday. Kasper will wear the number 12 at RSCA.

Kasper started his professional career at Danish side Silkeborg. In the summer of 2015, he made the switch to Ajax Amsterdam at the age of 17. In the 2016-2017 season, he immediately turned out to be a revelation. With 23 goals in 48 games and two goals in the Europa League semi-finals against Lyon, Kasper quickly won the hearts in Amsterdam.

After four seasons, in which he scored 45 goals and delivered 16 assists, he left Ajax to join French side OGC Nice in 2019. In his first year, he scored 12 goals at the Côte d'Azur. Kasper would eventually go on to score 24 goals in 85 games in the Nice shirt. Last season, he played on loan at Sevilla and Hoffenheim.

Kasper is also an experienced Danish international. He has reached 40 caps with the national team and scored 11 times. During the 2020 Euros, he scored two goals in the round of 16 against Wales and eventually reached the semi-finals with Denmark.

Kasper will start his new challenge at RSCA as from Saturday. On the 22nd of July, when RSCA is playing Ajax in its gala game ahead of the new season, he will immediately meet his former club.

CEO Sports Jesper Fredberg:

“We are thrilled with the signing of Kasper Dolberg. There’s no doubt that Kasper has massive abilities, he’s shown that at his previous clubs and with the national team. We want to bring out his full potential and we firmly believe he has everything to succeed here. Kasper has shown us that he’s incredibly hungry and ambitious to help us take the next steps. Signing players like Kasper is also an important part of the club’s strategy to invest in players for the long term.”

Kasper Dolberg:

“I’m very excited to join RSC Anderlecht. It was not a hard decision to move to such a huge club. I’ve always known Anderlecht and I believe I can fit the project and the style of play. After long talks with both Jesper and the coach, I have a really good feeling about this project. I wanted to go to a club where I feel comfortable and where I feel there is something to be won. That’s why I came here.”
