Afrim Salievski (45) will become RSC Anderlecht's new Academy Talent Director. He returns to Neerpede after five years as Youth Scouting Coordinator at Ajax.
Salievski served previously at Anderlecht as a youth scout between 2012 and 2020. After that, he was responsible for the recruitment of young talents at AFC Ajax as Youth Scouting Coordinator. In the past five years, several Belgian talents such as Mika Godts, Jorthy Mokio, Stanis Idumbo, Henrion Martin, Ethan Butera and Rayane Bounida made the move to Amsterdam.
As Academy Talent Director at RSC Anderlecht, Salievski will be responsible for talent retention and recruitment and will head the scouting team of all youth categories. He succeeds Peter Verbeke, who leaves the club this week after five seasons.
"Neerpede is more than ever the beating heart of the club's sporting strategy. The arrival of Afrim Salievski is another step in strengthening the youth academy and underlines the importance we attach to the detection and training of young talent and to their transition to the first team," stated Chief Sports Tim Borguet.
"I am delighted that Afrim - after almost 10 years of Anderlecht and five years of Ajax - has once again chosen Neerpede. Afrim has an in-depth knowledge of the Brussels and Belgian youth football landscape and knows what RSC Anderlecht stands for. He is an expert in his discipline: identifying talent tailored to our football identity."
Afrim Salievski:
"It feels great to get back to work at Belgium's biggest club. RSC Anderlecht has a rich tradition in talent development. Together with the team, we want to create an environment where talent feels at home, can develop and help build the club's success."
