The Belgian cult classic Dikkenek celebrates its 20th anniversary this year. The milestone will be marked this weekend at Place Poelaert in Brussels, with a special screening and interviews with the cast among the highlights. To celebrate 20 years of Dikkenek, RSC Anderlecht is releasing a special scarf, available at the Fanshop, Pop-up Store and on our webshop. It will also be on sale at the event and at the MAUFF Dikkenek supporters’ shop.
Twenty years after its release, Dikkenek has become a landmark of Belgian cinema. Directed by Olivier Van Hoofstadt, the film features François Damiens, Jean-Luc Couchard, Marion Cotillard and Mélanie Laurent, among others. It has since become a cult classic, renowned for its unforgettable scenes and iconic one-liners.
To mark the 20th anniversary, Dikkenek returns to an iconic location in Brussels. Place Poelaert, where a legendary scene featuring François Damiens was filmed, will provide the setting for this weekend’s celebrations, honouring the film and its unique place in Belgian popular culture.

The quote from Jean-Claude, one of the film’s main characters played by Jean-Luc Couchard, is just one of many one-liners that have remained in the collective memory 20 years after the film’s release.
