Become part of the family of the Mauves and make a direct contribution to the success of our Academy and the development of future talent.
As Performance Director Academy, you will play a key role in optimising the physical and mental readiness of our players. You have a strong attention to detail and are continuously focused on improving performance through a scientific and strategic approach. You are able to translate complex data and strategies into clear, actionable plans that are easily understood by both staff and players.
Your responsibilities as Performance Director Academy:
- Strategic implementation: Under the supervision of the Performance Director, you implement a club-wide human performance strategy for RSCA Futures, the Academy (U8–U18) and, where applicable, the Women’s department.
- Performance domains: You oversee and optimise the strategy across pitch and gym periodisation, individual planning, data analysis structures, testing and screening, nutrition, mental support, and medical treatment.
- Individual development: You focus specifically on the individual human performance development of our high-potential players (U15 to U23).
- Leadership & management: You directly manage the Academy’s performance staff and oversee the Academy budget under the supervision of the Performance Director.
- Culture & innovation: You are responsible for developing a high-performance culture, a KPI reporting structure, and an innovative performance environment.
- Coordination: You monitor players loaned out from our Academy and act as the central point of contact for all performance-related matters across the different teams.
We are looking for:
- A professional with significant experience in a high-performance sports environment, preferably within elite football.
- Someone who is able to think strategically and translate input into clear objectives, timelines, and deliverables.
- A strong communicator who can engage in clear and effective dialogue, articulate a strong point of view (POV), and bring different workstreams together in a coherent manner.
- A proactive team player who takes initiative, demonstrates ownership, and possesses excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- An academic with a relevant degree and a strong interest in the financial and process-driven aspects of performance management.
- Fluent in Dutch, French, and English.
- Someone who is flexible and willing to work during matches, as well as on weekends and in the evenings.
We offer you:
- A position within a dynamic and strong team in a unique working environment at the heart of Belgium’s largest and most iconic football club.
- A full-time permanent contract.
- A competitive salary, complemented by additional benefits, or the possibility of a self-employed contract.
